Pixies - Trompe le Monde - 01 Trompe le mond

I spent most of my early twenties hating on the Pixies.  I didn’t get it. I thought they sounded like everything else.

Then one day it hit me like a ton of bricks.  

This band is fucking amazing. And they keep blowing me away the more I listen.

God, there are so many and they change so for now I will break it down by album:

1 - Gold Teeth - i’m a sucker for this shit

2 - English Bwudd was my first; Skin Tension - miette was a nickname once and the song eerily reminds me of that time; Black Mission Goggles - just glorious frenetic insanity

3 - Doo Right (perfect); Whalebones -again, sucker

4 - Haute Tropique - any song crooning about cannibal furniture designers and embracing your flaws all while trying to seduce you with every bit of creepy it can muster is something to behold
